In the 2019 Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections, Shri Dorjee Wangdi Kharma of JDU won in this constituency beating Shri Tenzing Norbu Thongdok of BJP by a margin of 1,772 votes which was 21.11% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Tenzing Norbu Thongdok of INC was the winner in this seat beating Tsering Sonam of PPA by a margin of 709 votes which was 8.9% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Tenzing Norbu Thongdok of INC won this seat defeating Rinchin Khandu Khrimey of NCP by a margin of 1,231 votes which was 17.22% of the total votes polled for the seat.
