In 2014, Rajanna Dora Peedika of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Rajendra Pratap Bhanj Deo of TDP by a margin of 4,997 votes which was 3.71% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Rajanna Dora Peedika of INC won this seat defeating Gummidi Sandhya Rani of TDP by a margin of 1,656 votes which was 1.37% of the total votes polled for the seat.
