In 2014, Vantala Rajeswari of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Seethamsetti Venkateswara Rao of TDP by a margin of 8,222 votes which was 7.15% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Kosuri Kasi Viswanadha Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Reddy of INC won this seat defeating Chinnam Babu Ramesh of TDP by a margin of 10,803 votes which was 11.3% of the total votes polled for the seat.
