In 2014, Pasim Sunil Kumar of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Dr Bathala Radha Jyothsna Latha of TDP by a margin of 9,048 votes which was 5.38% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Durga Prasad Rao Balli of TDP won this seat defeating Panabaka Krishnaiah of INC by a margin of 11,238 votes which was 7.35% of the total votes polled for the seat.
