In 2014, Chinthamaneni Prabhakar of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Karumuri Venkata Nageswararao of YSRCP by a margin of 17,746 votes which was 10.33% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Prabhakar Chintamaneni of TDP won this seat defeating Kotharu Ramachandra Rao of INC by a margin of 14,231 votes which was 9.25% of the total votes polled for the seat.
