In the 2019 Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections, Tsering Tashi of BJP won in this constituency beating Thupten Tempa of INC by a margin of 3,592 votes which was 47.12% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Tsering Tashi of IND was the winner in this seat beating Tsewang Dhondup of INC by a margin of 5,054 votes which was 63.49% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Tsewang Dhondup of INC won this seat uncontested.
