In the 2019 Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections, Laisam Simai of BJP won in this constituency beating Tainan James Jugli of NPEP by a margin of 1,510 votes which was 19.09% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Laisam Simai of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Setong Sena of INC by a margin of 203 votes which was 2.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Setong Sena of INC won this seat defeating Tosham Mossang of IND by a margin of 3,850 votes which was 54.89% of the total votes polled for the seat.
