In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Veera Bhadra Swamy Kolagatla of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Aditi Vijayalakshmi Gajapathi Raju Pusapati of TDP by a margin of 6,417 votes which was 3.9% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Geetha Meesala of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Kolagatla Veerabhadhraswamy of YSRCP by a margin of 15,404 votes which was 9.92% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati of TDP won this seat defeating Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy of INC by a margin of 3,282 votes which was 2.37% of the total votes polled for the seat.
