In 2014, Kommalapati Sridhar of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Bolla Brahmanaidu of YSRCP by a margin of 9,196 votes which was 5.13% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Kommalapati Sreedhar of TDP won this seat defeating Noorjahan of INC by a margin of 9,878 votes which was 6.53% of the total votes polled for the seat.
