In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Koramutla Sreenivasulu of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Panthagani Narasimha Prasad of TDP by a margin of 34,879 votes which was 25.5% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Koramutla Sreenivasulu of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Obili Subbaramaiah of TDP by a margin of 1,972 votes which was 1.44% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Koramutla Srinivasulu of INC won this seat defeating Ajay Babu Nandavaram Benjimin of TDP by a margin of 12,388 votes which was 10.53% of the total votes polled for the seat.
