In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Ramireddy Pratap Kumar Reddy of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Katamreddy Vishnu Vardhan Reddy of TDP by a margin of 14,117 votes which was 7.24% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Ramireddy Pratap Kumar Reddy of YSRCP was the winner in this seat beating Beeda Masthan Rao of TDP by a margin of 4,969 votes which was 2.72% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Beeda Masthan Rao of TDP won this seat defeating Katam Reddy Vishnuvardhan Reddy of INC by a margin of 19,027 votes which was 12.3% of the total votes polled for the seat.
