In 2014, D A Sathya Prabha of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Jangalapalli Srinivasulu (Jmc) of YSRCP by a margin of 6,799 votes which was 4.68% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, C K Jayachandra Reddy @ C K Babu of INC won this seat defeating Arani Srinivasulu J M C of PRAP by a margin of 1,710 votes which was 1.35% of the total votes polled for the seat.
