In the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Grandhi Srinivas of YSRCP won in this constituency beating Pawan Kalyan Konidala of JnP by a margin of 8,357 votes which was 4.35% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Ramanjaneyulu Pulaparthi (Anji Babu) of TDP was the winner in this seat beating Grandhi Srinivas of YSRCP by a margin of 13,726 votes which was 7.8% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Ramanjaneyulu Pulaparthi (Anjibabu) of INC won this seat defeating Vegesna Suryanarayana Raju (Kanakaraju Suri) of PRAP by a margin of 22,099 votes which was 13.98% of the total votes polled for the seat.
